Hello: )

I am back again. This is my 3rd post and i am supposed to give my opinions on the video clip that my classmates and i watched in school. The video clip is on Prime Minister's National Day Rally Speech 2006. Our Prime Minister talked about Singapore students studying abroad. Singapore is a progressing nation which has attained achievements admired by others. It is a country which has succeeded through hard work, and by working closely together as a country. Singapore is a region where opportunities abound. It is the most dynamic region in the world. The most important gift the government can give us is EDUCATION. It is not just preparing us for a job, but learning to live a life, learning to deal with the world and learning to be a full person. Our Prime Minister said that the number of students going abroad each year is increasing. More students being exposed to the outside world. He even encourages students going abroad. Previously, i had the wrong perception that if i go to foreign countries, means that i am not loyal to Singapore. After watching this video clip, i realise that we are only going other countries to improve on our academics and that does not mean that our loyalty to our country decreases. After completing our education, we have to still serve our country. Students who have gone abroad wrote a letter to Singapore government stating that they really miss Singapore and they would want to come back to Singapore as soon as they have completed their studies. Another singaporean student who went to China to do her further studies liked the enviornment there and she settled there. Her family members are in Singapore and she tried hard to bring them with her to China. Unfortunately, she did not suceed. The strong force of attraction between her family members and her made her to come to Singapore. For my career, which is being a cardiac surgeon, i want to study in NUS then persue my studies in Australia or London. Then, i will return back to Singapore to serve my nation as a citizen of Singapore.I will do my level best for Singapore to progress. After viewing the video makes me realise that Singapore is an excellent place to live in and i should never forget my homeland wherever i am. I might be a great cardiac surgeon in future but i will still not forget the country which brought me up; SINGAPORE.

i am back again.this is my 2nd post. I am to write about my ambition. Different people from different part of the world has different ambition. I too have an ambition but when i tell people about my ambition, they just laugh. I will tell my ambition but please don't laugh. My ambition is to be a cardiac surgeon. Is it funny? A cardiac surgeon is a surgeon who performs operative procedures on the heart and great vessels.Cardiac Surgery is that branch of surgery concerned with diseases of the pericardium, heart and great vessels. Many say that it is really very hard to be a cardiac surgeon but i really want to be one. Many people discourage me by saying that i have to see blood, dead bodies and cut off the organs from the body. But i feel that these are all not an obstable for me to achieve my dream.U might think that why i want to be a cardiac surgeon and not a lawyer, a engineer or even a business woman. My grandfather wanted my mother to be a doctor as she studied very well. She even got the admission to join the medical college. Unfortunately, she was not able to pay the medical fees so she quit from the university. My grandfather's desire which was that my mother is to be a doctor was not fulfilled. My grandfather's last wish before he died is that at least his grandchildren should be a doctor. I grew up hearing these words of my mothers'. From then i decided to be doctor. After the SARS peroid, my passion for becoming a doctor grew. I want to help people to live and not die.Nowadays, many people are dying due to heart diseases and that's the reason wht i want to become a heart surgeon. A cardiac surgery typically comprises six to eight years (or longer) of training to become a fully qualified surgeon. I am now in Sec3 and in another 1 years time,i have to do my 'O' levels. From there, i got to go to Junior College an do my 'A' levels. Then, i have to proceed to university to do my MBBS. I wish to do my MBBS in NUS, singapore and not in foreign countries because i feel that studying is singapore is really very prestigeous. But if i really cannot get into NUS then i will go to foreign countries. If you want to know about NUS then try this website: http://www.med.nus.edu.sg/corporate/
I will have to do my MBBS for 5 years. From there,i want to do futher studies. Then, i want to be a cardiac surgeon in a hospital in SINGAPORE. This is my dream, hope, desire and PASSION. I really want to be a cardiac surgeon. By crook or hook, i really want to be one; A
CARDIAC SURGEON.From now i will really perserve to achieve my dream. I shall really work very hard. Who knows?
One day, i, Gayathree d/o Panir Selvam might be a famous cardiac surgeon. My dad always tells me this famous quote.'' If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” so in life, we always have to plan before we do
anything. I really believe in my dream. If i become a cardiac surgeon in future, not only my family, relatives will be happy but also my dead grandfather's soul.If you have interest and want to know about cardiac sugeon, you can then visit these 3 websites.

I am gayathree. I am 14 this year. I was born on 15th December 1992. I am studying in Chong Boon Secondary School which is in Singapore. I live in Hougang.I am in Sec 3 now and life is really very stressful.I have tons and tons of homework to do. Doesn't it seem stressful? Ok fine. I know it is going to be boring if i am going to talk about my schoolwork so let me tell about my CCA. I am in Multimedia Club and i learn about computers in this CCA. I am also a student councilor. Being a student councilor may seem very honorable and prestigious but the stress the councilors goes through can't be explained in words. What to do, life is full of stress. My favorites are playing computer games, playing netball, listening to tamil songs, watching tamil movies, eating mum's cooking, dreaming and laughing. My dislikes are doing homeworks, writing exams, studying for exams and meeting failure. I do 2 things to let go of my stress. One is to laugh a lot like a hiana and another one is cry a lot like a child. My friend sasikala and i are known as the “laughing hianas” in school. We really laugh very loud. At times when i am pressurized, i will really cry a lot at home.Basically that's all about me.
